Dec 5, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; The Oregon Ducks players celebrate after their Pac-12 Championship game against the Arizona Wildcats at Levi

In this conference, there is no team that has a terrible showing either. The Pac-12’s greatness is shown by how many good teams it has had the past 10 years. Take this past year for example, when 10 of the 12 teams were Top 25-caliber, even if not many of them were powerhouse programs.

It’s like the ACC in that regard except much better. Arizona and Arizona State still do well in the NFL, Utah has helped with NFL talent, UCLA is no slouch, and neither are the Washington schools or Oregon State.

Colorado has had serious trouble but is still better than the worst schools in other conferences. The depth of the Pac-12 shows that they do play football on the West Coast, and their defensive players pan out even more than their offensive players. Are you listening southerners and midwesterners?

Pac-12

311 Picks (35 1st Round), Average: 29.93 (3.30 1st Round)

The Pac-12 has had fewer players picked than the ACC or the Big Ten the past 10 years, but remember that for seven of those years they only had 10 teams, and the last three they had 12. Meanwhile, the ACC went from 11 one year to 12 eight years and 14 another year, while the Big Ten had 11 for seven years and 12 for three.

This conference was not just carried by the USC Trojans either, although they were a big help with the most players drafted of anybody in college football the past 10 years. Still, you have Cal, who had players drafted in high numbers under Jeff Tedford, and there is also Oregon. Stanford is also in the Top 25.
