He’s a good football player who did a lot of great things in college, but he be waiting a long time to hear his name called because a lack of size and speed.

Paul Dawson
OLB, TCU
Paul Dawson was a central figure on TCU’s defense that complemented the nation’s No. 2 offense en route to a 12-1 record as one of the best teams in college last year. Individually, Dawson was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year after leading the conference with 136 combined tackles, tackles for loss with 20, six sacks, four interceptions and two forced fumbles.
Simply put, Dawson did it all for TCU last year but questions about his transition to the NFL because he’s 6-0 1/8 and 235 pounds and ran a pedestrian 4.93 40 has him projected to be drafted no higher than the bottom of the third round and the chance exists that he could slide into the fifth round or so.
He’s a good football player who did a lot of great things in college, but he be waiting a long time to hear his name called because a lack of size and speed.
