Like Bush, Leinart was also a first-rounder in 2006. Going No. 10 instead of No. 2 would appear to make him less of a bust.

But Leinart has been a completely useless player in the NFL. He comes across as a typical Pac-12 (Pac-10 at the time) quarterback who took advantage of loaded talent around him and weak defenses to rack up numbers against.

Reggie Bush at least was always good enough to have a roster spot in the NFL. Leinart wasted spots for his career despite contributing nothing.

As a Top 10 draft pick at quarterback who won a Heisman Trophy but could never make his way into a full-time starter at the next level, Leinart is a Heisman bust in every way possible.

Matt Leinart

Quarterback, 2006 NFL Draft: Round 1, Pick 10

What we just said about Reggie Bush multiplies by 1,000 when we bring up Matt Leinart. Leinart has dated models, actresses and other female stars, he has generated lots of hype around him outside of football, and he won a Heisman Trophy the year before his teammate Reggie Bush did.

But none of that translated into the successful NFL career that you would expect out of somebody that was the face of the press for such a long time.
