Strong’s route running needs improvement, but he is definitely growing in the area, and is very competent when making adjustments in space. He also need improvement in acceleration, some areas of his play speed, and his competence deep ball routes.
So, after looking at all of his traits, what makes Jaelen a better receiver than those below him in this list? What makes him a better choice for teams than the athletic production of Rashad Greene or the lightning speed of Devin Smith?
His value is not found in a few particularly strong talents, but in the combination of his entire skill set. He is effective in many of his abilities, and, with a little growth and improvement, can possibly develop into an all-star wideout at the pro level.

Jaelen Strong
WR, Arizona State
Jaelen Strong had a good career at Arizona State, getting to the semifinals for the Biletnikoff Award and making the All-Pac 12 First Team. He was ranked decently high in the Receiving rankings, landing at 16th in Receptions (82) and 15th in Receiving Yards (1165) among all wide receivers in college football.
His speed, height, weight, and arm length line up well with each other. The defending abilities Strong learned in high school basketball help him in contested situations, having decent capability to fight defenders and create spacing, and performs well in contested catches with a good vertical leap to help him out.
