Owa Odighizuwa – UCLA
One of the best defensive end prospects in this draft, Oh-wah Oh-Diggy-Zoo-Wah could be a steal here on day 2. He struggled with a hip issue early in his career, but accumulated 11.5 sacks his senior season.
Odighizuwa, or “Diggy”, can be used in either a 4-3 or 3-4, but projects best at left defensive end in a 4-3. He’s very athletic as he posted a 4.62 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in February.
After two hip surgeries, will a team want to take a chance on him early? I believe so. On film, Odighizuwa can get up the field and rush the quarterback, and that’s a trait every NFL team could use.
Teams to watch for: Washington Redskins, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders
Next: Landon Collins
