Hundley was always under pressure behind a severely struggling UCLA offensive line, and having all the starters back from that unit means nothing. This is not to say the Bruins will fall to pieces and not do anything. But it is to draw attention to the fact that Hundley bailed them out plenty of times last year.

Take Memphis, for example, where Hundley had to throw for 396 yards and three touchdowns to beat the Tigers. Don’t forget the 36-34 win over Cal, where he threw for 330 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another 94 yards and a touchdown. Hundley always did what was necessary to win and showed that he can think quickly from the pocket and be a dual-threat, even if he has no offensive line.

Without him, the Bruins almost lost to the Texas Longhorns, and that was early in the season when Texas was still bad. The Green Bay Packers know they got a steal with Brett Hundley. Fans of the UCLA Bruins need to know that for next year at least, they are going to miss Hundley a lot.

I really do not care that the UCLA Bruins are returning 18 starters, including everybody on offense except for Brett Hundley this year. Hundley is the one player they need.

Regardless of whether or not Jerry Neuheisel or Josh Rosen or somebody else starts at quarterback, even with raw skills, they are not going to be able to handle the pass rush that comes their way in the same fashion that Hundley could.
