Hermione Granger – Urban Meyer

Extremely intelligent, a gifted witch, and slightly annoying. These are the main character traits of Hermione Granger. With a few tweaks, these easily also become the traits of Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer as well.

There’s no doubt that Meyer is an intelligent coach. He knows how to recruit, how to develop players, and how to make the right call in a tight situation. He is also disproportionately good at winning national championships, earning two when he was head coach at the University of Florida and just last year adding a third with his current squad.

Because of the previous two things, he’s also slightly annoying to everyone outside of the Buckeyes fan base. To Florida fans, he’s more than just slightly annoying. He’s really annoying.
