Northwestern Wildcats

Kanye West ft. Jamie Foxx-Gold Digger

Yes, we have gone there. And anybody who follows college football knows what we mean by doing this song.

But before we get there, let’s start with the obvious. Kanye West is a huge star, he is from Chicago, and Northwestern is based in Chicago. So there is absolutely nothing wrong with using him as an artist for one of the Northwestern Wildcats’ fight songs.

But why this one? Well, it was the Northwestern players that cast votes to be able to form players’ unions in college football to get paid. The subject has been a point of contention, with both sides calling the other side greedy for money.

So hey, the song “Gold Digger” is a perfect fit. Northwestern fans know their football is not great anyway, so they would not mind the laugh while doing this song.

And it would be an easy song for the band to play, with the trumpets doing the Jamie Foxx singing part and the rest of the band doing the beat. Everybody would enjoy the song, and they do not really have to sing any part of it when they score a touchdown.

So they should go ahead and stick with the hometown guy.
