This is the fifth of a six-part series in which we suggest new college football fight songs for FBS teams. Here are the suggested new fight songs for Big 12 teams.

If any conference needs to change a few things, it is clearly the Big 12 after two one-loss teams from the conference last year both missed the College Football Playoff.

Why not start with adding some new fight songs?

There are only 10 teams in the conference, and with one major exception, they all sort of represent the Great Plains and Southwest regions.

There is plenty of music, even new music, that very well represents that area of the country.

And that is especially true for the schools in Texas, a state that has produced various successful artists across a wide number of genres.

With four schools from Texas, two from Oklahoma, and two from Kansas to make up 80 percent of the conference, there is plenty to nail down the region.

Nailing down the state of the programs, though, is much tougher because there appears to have been a changing of the guard in the conference to who the elite teams are.

But overall, the programs mostly have a level of stability that allows us to identify them with new music, so here are our suggested new college football fight songs for every Big 12 team.
