3. Cody Kessler to JuJu Smith – USC Trojans

Cody Kessler was exceptional last year for USC when he completed 69.7 percent of his passes for 3,826 yards and 39 touchdowns to a remarkably low five interceptions. His 167.06 quarterback rating was fourth last year and is the second highest returning mark to Western Kentucky’s Brandon Doughty.

Kessler has the Trojans in position to compete for the Pac-12 championship and are a popular preseason pick to make the College Football Playoff with an exciting group of underclassmen poised for monster seasons, including sophomore receiver JuJu Smith.

Smith was part of Steve Sarkisian’s first recruiting class that ranked No. 10 nationally and finished second to Nelson Agholor in receiving with 54 catches for 724 yards and five touchdowns as a true freshman. With Agholor now with the Philadelphia Eagles, Smith steps into the No. 1 role with a Heisman candidate throwing him the ball and should be the next great Trojan receiver.
