Predicted Matchup: Northern Illinois Huskies vs. Ohio Bobcats
Likely Winner: Northern Illinois
Playoff Implication Scale: Very Low

This is a conference that has been dominated by Northern Illinois and Bowling Green for a couple of years now, but Ohio was hot on Bowling Green’s tail last season and they may have all the right pieces to unseat the East Division champs.

The Huskies had one of the top offenses in the nation last season, and look to continue that trend. Ohio only gave up 24.8 points per game , and the defense should be improved even more this eason.

The last time the Huksies and Bobcats met in the MAC championship was in 2o11, when NIU came away with a 23-20 win in one of the better games seen in this series. This year it could turn into a double-dip, as these two teams will meet in the regular season finale on Nov. 24
