Will Muschamp – Florida Gators, 2014

Record With School: 28-21
Replaced by: Jim McElwain

When Will Muschamp was fired following the 2014 season, the Gator Nation let loose with a gigantic “finally!”. Although he had some nice wins leading the boys of Florida, Muschamp never saw the type of success that is expected of a coach in Gainesville.

There are some members of the Florida faithful who are convinced Muschamp, who was a Georgia graduate, was a plant by the rival Bulldogs to keep the Gators pushed down in the SEC East.

Muschamp is back in his comfort zone now, working as a defensive coordinator for the Auburn Tigers. Even if new Florida coach Jim McElwain ends up falling flat, you can’t fault the Gators for moving on from Muschamp and his famous scowl.
