A Record Number of Games Will Be Decided by FGs

Special teams is becoming more visible in college football and this year we’ll see kickers move to the forefront, much to the chagrin of Ray Lewis

With the renewed focus on defense and more parity throughout the FBS, the fortunes of a game will become decided by the foot of a place kicker much more often. Yes…kickers apparently have been spoken to, Mr. Lewis.

So often, in fact, that we should see a record number of games that come down to that last minute kick or a field goal during an overtime period. You want to win games in 2015, you’d best have a reliable field goal kicker who won’t get rattled under pressure.
