Jim Harbaugh’s First Season at Michigan Will be a Losing One

The Michigan Wolverines dumping Brady Hoke and hiring Jim Harbaugh was probably one of the best moves of this offseason, but that doesn’t mean Michigan is going to be fixed this year.

Harbaugh came in late to the recruiting party, doesn’t have a lot of talent leftover from Hoke, and certainly will have a job in teaching his systems and ideas to his team.

It’s going to take some time, and Michigan may still stink in the meantime.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing either. Generally, the quick fix artists are the ones who end up making things worse and having short stays. If Harbaugh can keep his temper and his tongue in check enough, he’ll have a long and happy career in Ann Arbor, just don’t expect the magic wand treatment.

Expect another .500 or below season, with a possible signature win to help propel optimism into the 2016 season.
