But was anything really decided? Not in the eyes of the College Football Playoff Committee, who obviously let the Big 12 know that not having a conference championship game kept their two best teams out of the mix.

You’d think that message would have been received and acted upon…(pardon me while I channel John Belushi here)…but noooooooooo, they still don’t have a title game on the schedule.

This year there could be as many as four teams from the Big 12 who could be highly ranked and in contention for a conference title, but once again the conferences who have added that extra game and given the committee one more item on their resume to look at will get the nod.
