No. 7: Vince Young – Texas Longhorns

Draft Year/Round: 2006/1st Round (3rd overall)
Drafted By: Tennessee Titans

People hadn’t been as excited about a dual-threat quarterback like Vince Young since Michael Vick was playing at Virginia Tech. Young broke practically every record in Texas Longhorns history, led the Longhorns to a long overdue national championship and put on one of the best QB performances in ages in that game.

During his rookie season in Tennessee, it looked like he was NFL-ready, winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and getting the Titans back into respectability.

But personal demons and injuries brought Young’s career down in a hurry, although he did return and win Comeback Player of the Year in 2009. After that, however, it was all downhill for Young, By 2012 he was bouncing from practice squad to practice squad, unable to secure a roster spot.
