No. 5: Joey Harrington – Oregon Ducks

Draft Year/Round: 2002/1st Round (3rd overall)
Drafted By: Detroit Lions

Did you know Joey Harrington had his own Heisman promo billboard on the side of a building in Times Square?

Didn’t help. The record-setting Oregon quarterback didn’t win the Heisman and he certainly didn’t win many games in the NFL. This was the quarterback who was going to put Detroit back on the map and make Ford Field one of the hardest places to win in the NFL.

Another shrewd move by former Lions GM Matt Millen.

He ended his spotted career with a 79-85 touchdown to interception ratio, and a 69.4 career passer rating while playing with the Lions, Dolphins, Falcons and Saints.
