College Football Playoff – Year Two
Year one of the College Football Playoff could be called a success overall, but the system will be met with even more scrutiny and questions this season.

The playoffs have whet the appetite of fans, and now those fans are going to expect more…and everyone has been clear that means more teams, something that will undoubtedly happen before long.
The second year of the playoffs will see a few wrinkles ironed out, but will probably see new problems. The playoff committee painted themselves into a corner last season and had to use the absence of a conference championship game in the Big 12 as their exit strategy.
Strength of schedule, head-to-head meetings and common opponents will all be talking points of the playoff rankings once again, and with one less week’s worth of rankings this season, it could get hairy pretty quickly.
