With the SEC being shut out of the championship game last season, and having gone two straight years (gasp) without a title now, it will be interesting to see the direction of the conference who set the bar so high under their new commissioner.
Sankey has already started to make his mark, instituting some new rules and seeing to it that the SEC is playing on a level field with other conferences (See; satellite football camps), and he’ll certainly be a name we hear much more about as the 2015 season progresses.
He’s a guy filling some pretty big shoes and in one of the most visible and vocal conferences in the nation. Failure is not an option.
