Rodriguez had the West Virginia Mountaineers constantly near the top of the rankings. His brief time at Michigan was much less successful, but now he’s got the Arizona Wildcats challenging in the ultra-competitive Pac-12.

But in the NFL, RichRod’s abrasive personality and bristling at players who question him would spell doom for him in a hurry. Like a lot of good college coaches, Rodriguez has the need to remain in complete control, and few make that happen in the NFL
