While things could be much different by year-end, Penn State appears to have their best shot at spoiling the Spartans’ championship dreams by attacking their secondary, which is less experienced after losing shutdown corners Darqueze Dennard and Trae Waynes to the NFL.
That said, Michigan State could be a match-up nightmare for Penn State if their offensive line hasn’t made the necessary strides to be more competitive in these games.
The battle for the Land Grant Trophy has been renewed by conference realignment, but the Nittany Lions will have to play one of their best games of the season to bring the trophy back to University Park.

Although the Nittany Lions hung around for a little while in last year’s game, the Spartans ended PSU’s regular season with an uninspiring 24-point defeat at home.
After finishing second in the Big Ten East and winning the Cotton Bowl, MSU will be in the mix for the Big Ten title again in 2015 with the return of senior QB Connor Cook and two deep and talented lines.
