Could he join Morris Claiborne, Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu and garner some individual awards for his play before his college career comes to an end? It looks like he’s on the path toward joining those former Tiger greats.

Jamal Adams

The LSU Tigers always have a strong secondary and this year will be no exception with strong safety Jamal Adams after he turned in a Freshman All-American season after appearing in 13 games and making two starts.

Adams won’t be coming off the bench any longer as the former five-star recruit from Texas helps his program’s reputation as DBU (defensive back university) as he grows into a leadership position. He always seems to be around the ball, finishing sixth on the team with 66 tackles and is the total package from the safety position.

Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman is among those who can’t wait to see what Adams has in store for his second season.
