On the ground he became more of a force as well and was used as a weapon through play calls and not just as an escape route. He was rated the nation’s No. 4 pro-style quarterback in his class so the skills he has displayed on waggles and wide gap runs is a plus for the Panthers. Simply because it turned out to be highly effective.

He is known as a student of the game, a fierce competitor and a leader. With running back James Conner and wide receiver Tyler Boyd back, Voytik should only bolster his development under new offensive coordinator Jim Chaney.

Chad Voytik

Quarterback, Pittsburgh

  • 2014 stats: 176/287 passing, 2,233 yards, 16 touchdowns and 7 interceptions
  • 108 rushes, 466 yards and 3 touchdowns

Go ahead and give it to me folks, give it to me for placing Voytik ahead of Golson on these rankings. The first half to his season last year was not very inspiring but he finished his season on a high note. There was no one better in the second half of the season in the ACC than Voytik.

The first six games he finished with five interceptions with eight touchdowns and the back half of the schedule just two interceptions and eight touchdowns through the air.
