5. Saturday, October 31: Clemson @ North Carolina State
One of the many intra-division games the Tigers will play, coming out on top against a talented NC State team is a must. Though the Wolfpack are not in the top 25 as opposed to Clemson, they could very well find themselves inching up in the rankings if they find success.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett and both running backs Shadrach Thornton and Matt Dayes are returning for another year and looking to improve upon their 8-5 season.
The last time these two teams played in 2014, Clemson steam-rolled the Wolfpack 41-0. Watson was a huge factor in that game and will be vital to Clemson’s success week-in and week-out. NC State is not as bad as that game shows and should put up a bigger fight, especially on their own turf.
