Dak Prescott was the man who nearly catapulted Mississippi State into their first ever national championship run. He did it all, running and throwing, and was a beacon of hope for Bulldog fans.

Why Prescott won’t win it:

There’s a reason that so many experts have the Bulldogs picked to finish last in the SEC West this season. They simply aren’t going to be the same team they were last year, and it won’t be an improvement. Prescott will still be the same player, but he’ll have even more heaped on his shoulders, and that can lead to costly mistakes from a quarterback.

Many think that Prescott made a mistake coming back and will likely struggle this season, and I can’t say I disagree with that notion. Mississippi State simply can’t compete with the level of talent around them, and if they don’t drag Prescott down, he may implode under the pressure to get it all done himself.

If you watched in horror what happened to Matt Barkley at USC in 2013, then you’ll really cringe at what you’ll see from Prescott and the Bulldogs this season.
