Prescott was perhaps the country’s best kept secret of the 2011 class. He was not ranked by 247Sports and stayed under the radar for most of his high school career. He was offered by LSU one of the major programs in the country, but outside of Louisiana, he was a virtual unknown.

His statistics however were admirable. As a junior in 2009, he passed for 2,172 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions. For most quarterbacks, it would be hard to top that performance, but he did his senior year. Throwing for 2,860 yards, 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions as well as rushing for 951 yards and 17 touchdowns, he showed that rankings do not always matter.

Enrolling in the school on January 13, 2011, he was part of a class that had 28 overall commits, including three four-star commitments. That ranked No. 28 in the country and No. 10 in the SEC per the 247Sports Team Rankings.

He has since become one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country. As in high school, he has shown that he can do it both through the air and on the ground. Last year, he threw for 3,449 yards, 27 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, and showed that he could be effective on the ground as well, rushing for 986 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is a man of many talents for the Bulldogs and showed that on the recruiting trail, taking chances can pay off.
