The backup to Duke Johnson will finally get his chance to shine. In his limited appearance last year, Yearby showed potential, racking up 509 yards and a dominant 5.9 yards-per-carry. Though he will be splitting a small portion of his carries with Gus Edwards, who also had a solid season in which he had six touchdowns and 349 yards, Yearby will be the starter in Week 1.

Yearby is also a solid receiver and caught eight passes for 118 yards last season. If given the opportunity to start, getting the bulk of the carries, Yearby should break out and be one of the best running backs in the ACC. He even has the potential to be among the top three if given enough touches.

Miami lost many talented weapons on offense opening up a valuable opportunity for Yearby to seize. He could very well become Miami’s MVP this year.
