There hasn’t been a coach on a bigger fast track than Jeremy Pruitt, but he’s proven his worth along every stop, and even has a few national championship rings to prove it. Not bad for a guy who was coaching in high school as recently as 2006.

Pruitt came in to Georgia last season handed a dumpster fire – a defense that had been decimated by discipline problems, transfers and Todd Grantham’s ineptness. All Pruitt did was take a group of freshman and unknown DBs and turn them into the No. 5 passing defense in the nation (up from No. 59 in 2013) and field the No. 17 total defense in the nation.

If he can do that in one season with the table scraps left behind for him, imagine what Georgia’s defense will look like when his elite recruits start taking the field.
