When you think Wisconsin, you typically think running backs and big burly offensive linemen, but the Badgers defense is often overlooked. Dave Aranda has a solid unit there in Madison, and they look to be even better in 2015.
Since Aranda took over in 2013, he’s boosted the Badgers’ D up to the No. 4 total defense in the nation, with an even more impressive (in the Big Ten) No. 4 passing defense, giving up only 168 pass yards per game.
This is Aranda’s first job in a big time program as DC, and he’s made the most of it in his first two seasons. Wisconsin is going to have a tough job keeping him around, as the head coach and other lucrative DC jobs are going to be flying his way after this season.
