4. Is Georgia going to pull a Georgia?

This will be the year Georgia wins the SEC. They have the best running game in the conference and an experienced head coach. Not to mention that they play in the SEC East and not the SEC West.

Sound familiar?

It is because we tell ourselves this seemingly every offseason. To clarify, it is not that Georgia typically has terrible seasons. Last season, they went a respectable 10-3 and 6-2 in SEC play. If you look at winning percentage over the past five seasons, you will find Georgia near the top of the list for college football.

Georgia is like the student that makes straight B’s when you know they are capable of making all A’s. For example, last season Georgia defeated Missouri, Arkansas and Auburn but lost to Florida. As cliché as it sounds, it is the games Georgia should win that trip them up each season.

Running back Nick Chubb is good. Real good. With the SEC West battling it out with each other, it is a perfect time for Georgia to slide into the College Football Playoff. Likewise, if history tells us anything, it is also the perfect time for them to be upset when they play Kentucky.

Each season offers renewed hope and Georgia fans hope this year can be different. As Shawshank Redemption tells us, hope is a good, maybe the best of things.
