2. September 12 vs. Boise State

Boise State is the team that every group of five school wants to be like. The Broncos have found a lot of success against schools in the power five conferences. Boise State in the media darling every year when discussing whether any non-power five can crash the playoffs. Rightfully so though BSU has proven over and over that they belong in the discussion. So if you are also a group of five school trying to make a name for yourself then beating this team is a must.

Enter BYU a team ripe with tradition but lacking in national respect. A budding rivalry is beginning here between BYU and Boise State. The schools are in the same region and share a lot in common. The one area of concern here is Boise State has dominated the series that only dates back to 2003 going 4-1 against BYU.

For BYU whether they like it or not these games against schools like Boise State have to be wins. BYU cannot afford to lose games against schools in the group of five conferences. BYU can make their name by beating power five schools for sure but it will tarnish it by losing games just like this one.
