UCLA Bruins head coach Jim Mora has a loaded roster with 18 returning starters from last year’s 10-win team, but the biggest question for them was how true freshman Josh Rosen would fare at quarterback. The nation’s No. 1 quarterback recruit came to Westwood with lofty expectations but even the most optimistic UCLA fan couldn’t have imagined what Rosen did in his debut.

The 6-4, 215-pound Rosen was 28-of-35 passing for 351 yards and three touchdowns. He made difficult throws look easy and showed the poise in the pocket and command of the offense necessary to include a team with a true freshman QB in the Playoff discussion.

This touchdown is one of the best plays of the opening weekend as Rosen lived up to the hype.

That’s not a throw a true freshman is supposed to make and definitely not in his first career game.
