Teams who stayed put, but probably should have moved up

No. 8 USC: The Trojans wiped the turf with Arkansas State 55-6, and certainly looked more impressive than Oregon did in their win over Eastern Washington. There really should have been a step up for USC, and definitely should be ranked higher than Auburn. The Trojans can do themselves no good next week taking on Idaho either.

No. 13 ULCA: The Bruins actually looked like one of the more impressive teams this week, and certainly had more to deal with in playing Virginia than the team ranked above them (Clemson) did playing Wofford. UCLA played a complete game against a Power-5 opponent, and got nothing for their efforts. For a team who many are picking to win the Pac-12, they aren’t getting much love early in the season.
