Teams who moved way too far up or down

No. 16 Texas A&M (from not ranked): In what was one of the biggest turnarounds, especially on defense, Texas A&M came out and really showed something in a 38-17 win over then No. 15 Arizona State. The Sun Devils dropped out of the polls, but to take the Aggies from not ranked at all to number 16 was really stretching it. No higher than 20th after just one week of play. There’s still a lot to be seen from these Aggies.

Arizona State: The Sun Devils were picked by some to make the playoffs, and I always thought that was a bit of a stretch, but to drop from 15th to out of the top 25 after only one game seems a bit harsh. True, Texas A&M wasn’t ranked, but that John Chavis defense didn’t seem to realize that. The Sun Devils are still a quality team who probably belong in the top 25.
