Cal Poly Mustangs At Arizona State Sun Devils
Tempe, Arizona
The Line: No Line
After getting throttled on the road against Texas A&M, the Sun Devils need a game like this against a weak FCS opponent. Their confidence is shattered, and while this game will teach us virtually nothing about the Sun Devils, it does give the program a chance to regroup and regain some of their swagger. The Mustangs did win their opener against Montana, 20-19, so there is a chance they could keep it close in the first half, but ultimately the Sun Devils talent will take over. Anyone interested can see this game on the Pac-12 Network at 8:00PM, pacific time, on Saturday.
Keys To The Game:
Arizona State just needs to treat this as another practice and not get anyone hurt. Run over and run past the Mustangs and enjoy a victory. The early part of this game will be telling. If Arizona State starts slow, and Cal Poly is able to hang around, there is a small chance that things could go south in a hurry.
Prediction:
The Sun Devils come out blazing, overpowering their inferior visitors. Big plays on both offense and defense contribute to a ridiculous first half score before both teams settle down in the second half and run out the clock. The final? Arizona State 65 Cal Poly 3.
