Projecting the College Football Playoff teams after the second week of the 2015 season. Who else will join Ohio State in the top four?

After the second weekend in the college football season we’re learning more about teams and can see who was able to back up their Week 1 performances and what teams may have been overrated in the preseason polls.

More from Alabama Crimson Tide

The No. 6 Auburn Tigers would qualify as one of the most overrated teams after they needed overtime to escape with a 27-20 home win over FCS opponent Jacksonville State. Gus Malzahn’s team was able to get the win, but they won’t be feeling like winners, and are sure to find themselves tumbling in the top 25 polls and out of contention, for now, for a college football playoff spot.

The top two teams are without question the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide who look like they could be on a collision course for a rematch in the playoff after the Buckeyes knocked off the Tide in the semifinals last year.

But the next two spots can have a case made by a handful of teams, including TCU, Baylor, USC, UCLA (provided they hold on to beat UNLV tonight) and Michigan State who has the biggest win of the year after knocking off No. 7 Oregon, 31-21 in Spartan Stadium on Saturday night. So you can’t have a Final Four today without Michigan State in it.

Therefore the top four if the Playoff started today would be Ohio State, Alabama, TCU and Michigan State.

Baylor is the first one out with USC and UCLA not far behind.
