Boston College Golden Eagles. 9. team. 2385.
Boston College started rolling in the first quarter and was in no mood to look back as they clobbered Howard 76-0. The highest scoring and most lop-sided score in school history.

Eight of the 10 touchdowns for the Eagles came on the ground as running backs Jeff Smith and Tyler Rouse both found the end-zone three times but each came in under the century mark for yards. The two touchdowns through the air came from the arms of Darius Wade and prodigy Troy Flutie who each didn’t go over the century mark themselves through the air.

If that doesn’t go to show you the balance that Boston College had against Howard, then I am not too certain what would. It was the epitome of a team effort.

Now, we don’t want to start drooling and make the mistake of saying they are one of the very best in the conference as they are coming off of this trouncing. Should it get respect? Yes. Too much air-play? No. It’s impressive don’t get me wrong, but I don’t see it translating to greater levels of achievement later in the season. As I rain on this Golden Eagle parade.

It gets unimaginably tougher for Boston College next week when Florida State and the Seminoles come on campus. I don’t think it is going to be a great ending for the Eagles as Florida State reigns supreme by a score of 38-24.
. (2-0). Previous:
