(W at Marshall 21-10). Previous: . Ohio Bobcats. 10. team. 2373.
Marshall had pretty good position going into the season, and kept it after week one. However, the Ohio Bobcats were able to pull off the upset last weekend, and are now 2-0. This was a good win, but the Ohio Bobcats still need to prove themselves in the coming weeks to get greater recognition and placement in Power Rankings and national polls. They play at Big Ten foe Minnesota soon and then have a few big challenges in the MAC conference.

Against Idaho in week one, the Bobcats took a 21-0 lead, but Idaho made things interesting by half-time. At the final whistle, the Vandals had ended up scoring 28 points and Ohio had 45. The Bobcats churned out 490 yards on offense.

Against Marshall things went much smoother for the defense, but not perfectly. Ohio went from allowing just under 400 yards to permitting 381. Defensive turnovers also jumped from three against Idaho to four against the Thundering Herd. However, Marshall’s running back Devon Johnson blazed 170 yards on the ground and added 15 reception yards. Offensively, Ohio did well, throwing for 147 yards and running a pretty impressive 234 yards.

Ohio faces the Southeastern Louisiana Lions next week.
