The Line: No Line
No line for this game, but thankfully next the conference schedule gets in full gear, so we will not have to deal with these dreadful paycheck games. Arizona defied my prediction and thumped Nevada last week while Northern Arizona whooped New Mexico Highlands 41-5, improving to 2-0. Both teams have high expectations and promising starts, but this game will not matter to either of them come November. This late night helping of uninteresting football can be seen on the Pac-12 Network, Saturday at 7:00PM pacific time.
Keys To The Game:
Northern Arizona ran the ball 35 times for just 58 yards against New Mexico Highlands, so suffice it to say that their passing game is their only hope in this match-up. Arizona had 570 yards of offense against Nevada, and looks to be gaining momentum as the meat of their schedule looms. The real key in this game is simply how motivated the Wildcats are, as their team had a roller coaster in 2014 and looks to be in for another wild ride in 2015.
The Prediction:
Anu Solomon has a relapse and plays poorly for the first quarter before being verbally ripped to shreds by head coach Rich Rodriguez. The Wildcats them storm onto the field and run off 28 unanswered points, putting this game away by halftime. The final score? Arizona 52, NAU 20.
