Auburn safety Rudy Ford was scared to tackle Leonard Fournette (Video)

Auburn safety Rudy Ford wanted no part of Leonard Fournette and looked literally scared as the LSU running back came toward him.

Leonard Fournette had a career day as the LSU super sophomore running back ran for 228 yards on 19 carries and on his second touchdown of the game, Johnathan ‘Rudy’ Ford saw No. 7 running at him and was so intimidated (scared) he decided he wanted no business in playing defense and basically quit.

Now, I would be scared of trying to tackle the 230-pound Fournette who is also the fastest player on LSU, but this attempt is so pathetic that I’m surprised Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp didn’t just rip his jersey off when he came to the sideline.

To make matters worse and yes it can get worse. Ford gave Fournette some bulletin board material earlier in the week when he said it “shouldn’t be difficult” to slow down Fournette in the game pitting the two SEC West teams against each other.

So to recap. Ford called out Fournette and then Fournette ran the ball down Auburn’s throat for three quarters until the game was in hand and when Ford had a chance to put his money where his mouth is, he backed down like he was literally scared for his life on the football field.

Talk about weak sauce from Ford.
