Winner: The Pac-12

The Pac-12 had a tremendous week of football. Every team who played a non-conference game won, and the only in-conference matchup — USC and Stanford — turned out to be one of the best games of the day, with the Cardinal upsetting the Men of Troy, 41-31.

  • Some of the more notable wins came from Cal, who edged Texas; Colorado, who found a way to beat in-state rival Colorado State; and No. 10 UCLA, who escaped being the third team to go down to a Hail Mary pass by BYU.

It’s clear that the Pac-12 is beginning to overtake the SEC as the predominant conference in college football, and this past week’s run of wins will only go to strengthen that argument.

It’s a wide open conference, and when these teams start playing each other it’s going to make for some exciting drama on the field.
