Virginia Tech 51, Purdue 24

If there were ever a time for Purdue to make a statement, it would have been at home against Virginia Tech. The box score reflects the ugliness of the score. Virginia Tech scored 51 points with their backup quarterback and they outgained Purdue 471-265. The Boilermakers only picked up nine first downs.

A really discouraging performance from Purdue and probably enough evidence that they are the worst Big Ten team right now. They are currently a 2.5-point home underdog against Bowling Green and I don’t see a reason to back the Boilermakers.
