Sep 26, 2015; Boston, MA, USA; Boston College running back Jon Hilliman (32) runs past Northern Illinois cornerback Shawun Lurry (19) and safety Brandon Mayes (24) for a touchdown during the second half of Boston College

(3-1). Previous: . Boston College Golden Eagles. 12. team. 2385. Flutie sighting in Boston. Not the Flutie the Golden Eagles and their fans wish that it was, but hey, at least there is something to hold onto with that.
What is an even more prominent sight for Boston College is their defense. Boy, do they have a defense or what? Head coach Steve Addazio has instilled extreme discipline on that side of the ball and it is produced one of the nations very best units. They proved it holding Florida State to only 14 points in Week 3 and again stuffed Northern Illinois and held them to 14 points as well.

I find myself sitting here and wishing that they had anything on offense to make them a complete showstopper. Tyler Murphy is gone to the NFL, Darius Wade is out with injury and are now left with Troy Flutie who is trying to follow in his uncle Doug’s legacy. Good thing about Flutie is that he has two hands and is able to turn and hand the ball to Jon Hilliman who turned in a nice game against the Huskies with 119 yards and a score.

Boston College heads to Duke this week and with combined defenses, it should be a low scoring affair. It’s going to come down to Boston College’s ability to slow the Blue Devils’ attack on special teams. If they can limit the returns, they have a decent chance to pull this game out. Though I think quarterback Thomas Sirk does just enough for the Blue Devils to win the game 20-17.
