Iowa’s offense keeps rolling
If there were ever a time for a letdown game, it would’ve been in Week 4 for Iowa. They just beat Pittsburgh on a field goal as time expired and they were playing Wisconsin the week after. Instead Iowa scored early and often in a 62-16 win over North Texas.
Quarterback C.J. Beathard is having a great season for the Hawkeyes. He has thrown for 962 yards and six touchdowns in the first four games. Running back Jordan Canzeri already has eight touchdowns and 316 yards.
The Hawkeyes beat Iowa State and Pittsburgh in non-conference play but the true test will be this Saturday in Madison. Wisconsin opened as a 9.5-point favorite and money on Iowa has dropped the line to 6.5 in less than 24 hours. The Hawkeyes haven’t beaten Wisconsin since 2009 so this is a huge game for the program and the winner could be the favorites to win the Big Ten West.
