Houston Cougars (W vs Texas State 59-14)

Last week: 3-0 record
Last rank: 4th

Houston continues to look strong in 2015. Houston’s defense has forced turnovers and done its part in all three games. Quarterback Greg Ward Jr. looks like the real deal, quietly and consistently heading Houston’s offense to solid wins. He’s completed 44-of-60 passes for 511 yards, four touchdowns and just one interception. He’s also been a big contributor for the running game, leading the team with 199 rushing yards (averaging 5.7 ypc). He had a 253.4 QB rating against Texas State.

Next up for the Cougars is a trip to Tulsa, which looks like a vastly improved team this year. Tulsa kept up for most of their game against Oklahoma, falling 52-38. They put up over 600 yards of offense with the Sooners, but allowed over 700.
