Baylor Bears vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders
- Point Spread: Baylor -15.5
This should be your old fashion Texas shootout. The over/under is set at a whopping 85.5 points. Expect a high scoring affair as both Baylor and Texas Tech put a lot of points on the board with high-powered offenses.
This Big 12 game will be Baylor’s first big test of the season. Kliff Kingsbury and Texas Tech already have a huge win at Arkansas this season and nearly pulled off the biggest surprise upset of last week over number 3 TCU. The question for both teams will be whose defense will play better?
The game itself will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX providing each team with a neutral site. And for those fans who have yet to see Baylor’s junior wide receiver Corey Coleman, they are in for a treat. Coleman comes in at seventh in the nation in receiving yards with 460 yards, but more impressive is his 8 touchdowns which is tops among all FBS.
According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, only Alabama, LSU, and Florida have more wins than Texas Tech over AP top 5 teams since 2007. This game will have a playoff type atmosphere and/or feel to it and might just come down to who scores last.
