Northwestern and Michigan have Amazing Defenses
Northwestern and Michigan play each other in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Not the most attractive game before the season but now we know there will be huge implications in this one.
The most interesting part of this game is how will either team score. Both defenses are coming off shutouts. Northwestern allowed only 2.6 yards per play to Minnesota in a 27-0 win. Michigan gave up 1.7 yards per play to Maryland in a 28-0 victory. The Wolverines have pitched back-to-back shutouts and only allowed 2.1 yards per play to BYU in Week 4.
Northwestern and Michigan are leading the country in scoring defense. Saturday’s game is setting up to a first to 14 points wins the game. The Wolverines are currently an eight-point favorite in this game and it’s hard to make a case against picking Northwestern in what should be another low-scoring game.
