The nice thing about Ohio State’s offense is that they don’t rely on Ezekiel Elliott much like other running backs on this list, which in turn would hurt Elliott’s shot at the Heisman. Ohio State might need to figure out their quarterback situation, but they certainly don’t have any question marks at running back here.

Ohio State has struggled a bit against some pretty average talent. But Elliott has that home run ability to swing the momentum, breaking off 70+ yard runs at any moment, which he’s already done twice this season.

The Maryland Terrapins are their next opponent, and Elliott could have an absolute field day against this rush defense. Ranked 110th in the nation, the Terps are giving up 200 yards a game on the ground. This could be where Elliott can a make a climb in the Heisman race.
