California at Utah (-7)

Not your traditional Pac-12 powers but this game is a must-watch even though it’s on very late. Utah skyrocketed to No. 5 in the AP Poll after they embarrassed Oregon 62-20 two weeks ago. California is 5-0 after back-to-back Pac-12 wins over the two schools from Washington.
I’m going to take Utah in this game based on the situation. They are coming off an important bye week. Having a week off after beating Oregon gives the team time to enjoy the win and focus on the games ahead. This game is at night and will be the toughest atmospheres California is playing in this season. Also altitude is a factor here. California hasn’t had a bye week so the fresher legs of Utah can wear down the Golden Bears in the second half.
On the field, California has the better quarterback in Jared Goff but Travis Wilson is very serviceable. Devontae Booker joins him in the backfield. Booker already has 106 rushing attempts this season. He is a workhorse and think he will help wear down the California defense. I have a lot of respect for the Golden Bears but think Utah will win by double digits.
Pick: Utah (-7)
