Florida State hasn’t gone up against great opponents, and they won’t really be tested this year until they have to head to Clemson and Florida. In a matchup against Louisville, it’s possible that Florida could get tested. Louisville has the upside of playing higher ranked opponents close, and they’ve certainly bounced back from their 0-3 start.

Dalvin Cook

Running back, Florida State Seminoles

  • Season totals: 88 attempts, 792 yards, 8 touchdowns
  • Last game vs Miami: 22 carries, 222 yards, 2 touchdowns

Dalvin Cook continues to be a catalyst for this offense, and hasn’t stopped producing all season long. Another undefeated candidate here, which almost always helps in the Heisman run. As a sophomore he’s putting a lot of the offensive burden on his back, making it a lot easier Everett Golson at quarterback.

He’s rushed for over 200 yards in two games now, but was held under 100 yards in two games this season. But, he’s averaging nine yards a carry, which is nearly a first down, in case you needed a reminder. He busted out a 92-yard touchdown run earlier this year vs Wake Forest, and left the game with a hamstring injury. He only had two carries that game, and totaled 94 yards. Had he stayed in, his stats would have definitely seen a healthy boost.
